Walking on the Stars...

{Insert post welcome here}
Haha yes, I am running out of creative post openings...I thought that that would work!! So I'm bopping away to music here in the desk chair...what music you ask? The funky, faith filled, and undeniably cool music from Group 1 Crew's new album, Out of Space Love. Yeah, it's just that awesome! My favorite songs: Walking on the Stars, Let's Go, Need Your Love...and a few others! It was one of this times where I found some music that was EXACTLY what I was looking for...fun, optimistic, and meaningful. So there you have it!
And now..the true purpose for this post (of course) is photos, so let me show you some! I took them yesterday, and I really challenged myself to look outside the box, not to take my usual pictures of flowers, but of unusual subjects, ordinary things made interesting. So, with my ipod plugged in and some crazy socks and shoes on, I did some outside the box photography, and it was super fun!
I LOVE fences..especially picket fences. They make me feel all rustic and like I live on farm!
Okay the next few ARE of flowers...but they are different!!

The black and white edit makes it seem to serious, and almost solemn.

'Not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these...'

This is bubbles from my pool..I have two edits of this photo...I really like how the black and white edit makes the water look almost like ink, and really brings out the reflection in the bubbles.

Here the water is a blue hue, but not the standard blue, more of a violet cobalt, which edit do you like better?
Speaking of outside the box...here's an awesome crazy idea I had for some photos...

That's right. Our outdoor shower. It doesn't get much cooler than that.

I had ALOT of fun taking these, it was such an awesome challenge...let's make an outdoor shower interesting and creative!

This may be my absolute favorite out of the bunch! I love the contrast between the showere head and the sky.

These ferns say FALL to me :)

Isn't she ADORABLE!? I love my dog so much!!
So that's my contribution to the crazy world today...Still bumping to music, looking forward to karate this evening, and just enjoying life! You should go out and enjoy it too!
Love and kisses,
Ari

Blooms of October

Hi girlies! How has your week been? Mine has been...crazy. Considering my lack of posting *blushes* I know, I am absent so often! School and personal stuff have been grabbing up every minute, and I am busy from the moment I wake up till the moment my head touches the pillow! Okay maybe not quite THAT busy...but you guys get the picture!
I have the SAT test in a about two weeks...so I have been trying to study for the math part, along with writing papers, and practicing for the essay...it's just been nuts, but I am so happy I could get away to post today!!
A couple of days ago I went on a photography walk again, so I'll be showing you guys some of those pictures, which is awesome of course! One question--I know alot of you guys out there are very into photography, I love looking at your photos, but what editing systems to you guys use? I usually use Picnik.com, because it's free and quite good, but I was curious to find out what all you other (better) photographers use. Do you pay for a software, or is there some website I don't know about? Anyway, if you all could give me feedback, that would be awesome!

Okay..it's a random pottery bird..but I couldn't help myself, it was so random and cute!!

I don't know what was up with that bee...but it just remained motionless while I took it's picture. Maybe it was dead? I don't know, but it let me get right up close...maybe he's naturally a camera hog!

I don't know why, but I usually love the wildness of the plants people usually call "weeds". Daisies, Ragweed, dandelions, and just random, free, and unmanicured plants appeal to me so much more than the cultured little faces of pansies or orchids or lilies. It's not that they aren't beautiful...they are just too tame.

I loved how this little feathery plant looks like two grains of wheat thrusting out...

This one is SO beautiful...is it not amazing how God created the merest field flower with such beauty? Maybe that's why I love taking pictures of wild flowers, the simple and natural, yet breathtakingly gorgeous things. You can never see their beauty unless you get close enough, and look through open eyes.

I know...I take so many pictures of flowers. Are you guys bored of them? Tell me if you are, because honestly, I never get tired of them. I really don't. I could take pictures of these gorgeous blossoms all day long. So tell me when is enough is enough, okay? I would hate to bore you guys with rundundant photography!!

Okay girlies, that's the last of them for now! I have SO many more I want to share with you, but that can wait till another post. Sometimes I wonder if God is leading me to photography because I love it SO much. I know I'm not that great, but I'm trying to learn, and honestly, I am SO happy when I do it. Nature photography is honestly my favorite. I seriously could sit in the fields behind my house for HOURS and just take pictures of everything. I'm trying to get better, and I want to get a better camera for Christmas, but if it is my passion...that would be so awesome! Because really, I do believe photography is a way of praising God. When I look at what he has made and take a picture of it, I am just breathless at the beauty of it all. How could God put such beautiful detail into these flowers? They are so gorgeous, all unique. I wonder at his design, his attention to detail. He didn't have to make simple field flowers beautiful. But He did.
Isn't he amazing, ever worthy of praise?
All my love and God's blessings,
Ari

F is for Fun...and Friday!!

Hey gals! Just sitting here on this lovely Friday evening and feeling happy because--

1) I finished my super duperly huge report today!! On schedule, and it is awesome! It's about the Gulf oil spill, I figured since I live in Florida it would be the best current event to write about and it was awesome to research, and now I understand so much more about the oil spill and how it happened and could have been prevented--it's totally awesome! :D

2)  I had SGA this afternoon..and it was SO FUN!! I got to see my friends, and we laughed and talked and generally made alot of racket, and it was awesome!! Best of all, I made up my mind beforehand, thanks to my parents' wise council, not to care what I look like, because if you are kind to people, smile at them, and genuinely care what is going on in their lives--it won't matter to them what you look like! And it was totally true! I talked to a bunch of people, and really listened to my friend who was going through a hard time--and you know what? I didn't care how I looked. Now I don't know about you guys, but this is a pretty huge breakthrough for me. Sometimes I would come home frome events like this and just cry because I felt so repulsive and ugly. But I don't have to anymore! Not because I look so awesome, but because I can be kind and caring to people, and in the end THAT'S what they'll remember--not how you looked.
What about you guys?  Have you ever tried kindness to get rid of thinking too much about yourself? Isn't it awesome? :)

3) It's Friday!! That is reason ALONE to be happy. The week is over. School is done for a brief time. I can watch TV all night, stay up as late as I want, and eat wierd things cause who cares--it's FRIDAY!!

4) At SGA this afternoon, a woman from a teen volunteer program in our town was a guest speaker at our meeting, and I had already joined, but was a little nervous about going because I didn't know anybody, but at the SGA meeting like all of my friends wanted to sign up too! So I won't be alone! Haha, just a random tidbit.

5) I am happy because I am SO unbelievably blessed. I have friends that scream, laugh hysterically, catch leaves falling in the wind with me, encourage me and each other, and are so devoted to God! I thank God every day for my friends...they are so amazing! And I have this blog, which has not ceased to be a blessing to me since it started. You guys have no idea how much it means to me that you read my little scribbles and care about it!! It has been such a WONDERFUL journey for me...and I will keep going as long as my fingers can snap a picture or type on the keyboard!

6) That God loves me. That should be my one and only reason for being happy--every day.

Yes...today is a photo-less post. But that's okay. Flexibility is this blog's middle name! Wait a minute. Windblown Flexibility Whimsy? I like the sound of that! :P
ALL my love and GOD'S blessings,
Ariana--JOY

Sunlight Comes in Golden Forms

Hey girlies!
Sorry..again...about the lack of postageness. Or mayeb I shouldn't apologise...cause it's pretty much gonna be like this throughout the schoolyear. I won't be leaving for weeks at a time or something crazy like that, but I just can't post everyday. It is physically impossible.
Anywho, I have a delightful post for you guys coming up, because I took tons of pictures yesterday and so many of them turned out awesome, I just have to share them with you guys!
So. Be warned. Much photoness coming up ahead.
Then again, with blogger's stupid new photo uploading system it now takes me...FOREVER to upload photos..but I'll get as many as I can in :)
And nowww...the moment you've been waiting for...cue the photos!!
*wild applause*
hehe. Got carried away.

Random pieces of glass...

I loved the random curly cues on this vine!!
It was like photography heaven that day, I am telling you!! The lighting was amazing, and I kept seeing beautiful things everywhere!

How anyone can NOT love black eyed susans is beyond me. They are one of my favorite flowers.

As I was out there taking those pictures...I was so happy. I was singing Taylor Swift songs under my breath and smiling and feeling the wind in my hair, and I felt beautiful, even though I wasn't wearing any makeup and my hair was a wreck...because I was seeing so much beauty around me. It was a truly wonderful afternoon.

I do love feathery little things...

Sorry about the non rotation on this one.

See? Not all my photos are macro :)

Joy in is the faces of these little flowers.

Have a lovely rest of the week!!!
Enjoy and savor the beauty around you.
All my love and God's blessings,
Ari
